A little bit about me
I come from a family of educators and artists, which instilled in me a lifelong love of learning and curiosity. I believe the best solutions come from considering multiple perspectives and always digging deeper to find the "why." This mindset shapes my work as a Product Designer. I am constantly seeking inspiration from the world around me, staying informed on emerging technologies, and actively engaging in discussions with my teammates to craft thoughtful, user-centered experiences. A personal strength of mine is branding and the way it shapes user interfaces. I see branding not just as a visual identity but as a toolbox for building connection and trust in every interaction. I love finding ways to refine and elevate a product’s UI, ensuring it not only enhances usability but also resonates with users on a deeper level.
Communication and collaboration are at the heart of my process. I take pride in maintaining clear documentation, updating internal resources, and sharing user insights with my team so we can collectively make the best decisions. Working closely with developers is essential to my workflow, aligning early ensures designs are feasible, efficiently implemented, and deliver the best possible experience to users. Above all, I never lose sight of the fact that most software is just one part of a person’s workflow. My goal is always to minimize friction and uncover new opportunities to assist users beyond their immediate tasks.
Outside of work, I’m a new mom, and I love experiencing the world through my child’s eyes. It has given me a fresh appreciation for the small, wonderful details of everyday life. My husband and I love exploring the outdoors, gardening, and working on the restoration of our 1880s home. We’re also deeply connected to our small-town community, often attending local events and supporting small businesses. When I can, I enjoy helping local entrepreneurs navigate the tech side of running a business, sharing my skills to help others bring their visions to life.
